Doris, when you were a child, did you ever read Lad of Sunnybank, by
Albert Payson Terhune? He often mentioned Lad's "cave," which was Lad's
favorite place in the house to lie...under the piano. I think dogs
believe that if they are in a fairly darkish spot, they believe they
truly are in a "cave," and therefore, cooler. You have now reinforced
their belief...isn't it wonderful?
