WHY is this not the dog's fault???? This dog killed a human being. He deserves to be euthanized. I don't care if there is a "reason" or not, this dog should have been euthanized the first time he attacked his caregiver. This was not a stranger, this was someone that he LIVED with!!! The human beings were STUPID and irresponsible not to euthanize him at that time, but it is STILL the dog's fault for killing. Also, I am so SICK of excuses about poor temperament (in the article, the son says he believes the dog was abused....if that is really the case then they should have known better than to have trusted him, but the dog STILL did the killing). We hear it all the time....the dog is shy because he/she was undersocialized. The dog was scared by a mean person. A child teased the dog. Another dog attacked him when he was a puppy. He was bred too young. Poor training (too strict, not strict enough, too much play, not enough play, used food, didn't use food, used collar corrections, never corrected, built too much prey drive, used too much defense drive).
