Sables *are* agouti-colored GSD's. "Agouti" is the proper term for sable.

I think it's safe to say that we call all greys "sable," but we don't call
all sables
grey."
People have described dogs as red sables, black sables, silver sables,
greys, and browns. If there are agouti-coloured GSDs, we'd call them
sables, too, probably.
And some sable dogs look grey sometimes, brown other times, and almost b/t
other times. They're all still sables.
