Years ago and I don't remember how many.I was judging a specialty show and
in the ring was the Bred By bitch class there were at least 4 entrys. One of
the entrys was handled very very badly the dog was either jumping up on her
handler or he was tripping over her. At any rate she was going to be 4th. Just
before I pointed my finger to call the class this handler lost the lead on
that bitch, and she FLOATED across the ring to the exit. It was the first time
I
got to see that bitch gait. To make a long story short she won the class. As
I gave him the first place ribbon I told him to get a handler for winners.
He did she went Best of Breed that day under me. She eventually went GVX of
the USA but not with that owner handling. Good handling makes a difference.
