Has anyone dealt with a hernia in an older bitch? This is a nine year old Corgi. We noticed the lump a couple of days ago, and tonight we realized that it must be a hernia. When she's standing up, the mass fills my hand, but when I roll her over, it goes back inside. I *think* the hole is about quarter to half dollar sized; I was fairly freaked out to find it. Is the repair complicated? Should I ask for a spay at the same time? All of this I'll ask our vet tomorrow, but I thought it might be useful to ask Dog People with more experience than I might have!
