[ SHOWGSD-L ] Herding in Bertram, Texas

On Saturday my husband, Colin Easton, took our dog Marhaven's High Country 
Cowboy AKA Cody through his final legs at the Collie Club of Austin Herding 
Trial in Bertram for his H.T. and P.T. and finished both titles in one day!

 

Colin just started handling this year - I call them "Team Easton".  It was fun 
to watch them work and to show all those other herding breeds that German 
Shepherds have what it takes to herd and look absolutely beautiful doing it.  
Cody is now Marhaven's High Country Cowboy H.T., P.T. (Cowboy son) and Colin 
(at least in my eyes!) is #1 sheepherding handler in Texas.

 

Never when we lived in So Cal did we ever think Colin would take time out from 
his computer to  work in all weathers herding, but it proving so much 
fun....and so is Texas!!

 

Way to go Colin and Cody!!!!!
