greatly to clarify ther situation. It would definitely be the =
preference of
the Board to have all venues on site, but the issues involved relate to =
much
more than the physical space and facilities. =20
As best I understand it, the Concord site does have the physical =
capacity to
provide a herding venue, and to maintain sheep there. However, the =
location
near Raleigh was selected because of issues relating to the availability =
of
specific sheep, and the difficulties of transporting those sheep to =
Concord.

Several have made comments about how herding this year will not be all =

the best sheep and the best venue for herding. My dog has a better =

to succeed when the location is right for HERDING, not for driving or =

spectating. The location this year provides the BEST place for herding
competitors in the area. Herding will be held before conformation even
starts so it's not a conflict.=20
Please don't apologize to herding exhibitors that our site is too far =
from
the rest of the action. We thank you for providing us with a GREAT =
herding
site, good sheep, and the best chance for our dogs to succeed. I'm =
sorry if
it's not good for spectating, but either make plans to come early and =
stay
in the Raleigh area, or check us some other time.
