Herding in Oregon lost money because the form to enter the Herding Instinct
Test was not in the catalog. I had just eighteen pre-entries, where
generally there are at least fifty pre-entered. The financial loss on
Herding was not large. The trial entry was big, it was just the Instinct
Tests that were below normal.
As to having it open to Herding breeds, that is the way it will be from now
on, I believe. It is nearly an impossibility to have it exclusively for
German Shepherds and not lose money. Doris Estabrook
