Aha, now THIS is my pet subject --- There was a woman and her group in
Ohio -- Iva Wade originally
who had a splendid pedigree service and was much cheaper than Mother AKC
too. I used her service
for many years. She passed and someone took over, but that's also been a
good while ago so I'm not
sure if they're still doing it. However, in my personal checking, I have
always felt that only the first 3 &
MAYBE at times, the 4th generation is what counts and designates the genes
of the offspring. Now this
is just me, from my study and experiences of breeding. Not everyone
agrees, I'm sure, but it doesn't
seem to be vital beyond that third generation of serious influence. JMO

I know there are some brilliant people on this list that have a more
complete pedigree database than I do.
Even when ordering the "official" pedigree thru AKC, you will still miss
the
ROM, Sel, etc that are particular to our club/breed.
I am interested in a better database, or is someone in the business of
doing
pedigrees? 5 or 7 generations will be ideal.
Please reply here, as I have come across many with this same need.
