[ SHOWGSD-L ] Help again Immune System Disorder

WOW I never hardly post to the list but this has been the week. I got back
from the vet with my big Blue GSD rescue, Jager. He did a biopsy of his gums
which are inflammed, as are the insides of his nose, and the entire inside of
his lips and even with the mouth shut his outer lips are chapped and deep
red, and he had a rash, ulcer type issue around his anal area a week or so
ago.
He feels given these facts and the fact he is a Blue, that he has an Immune
System disorder that occurs more often in the dilute GSDs. I can't remember if
he gave me a name for it, he is my baby so I am just staring at him thinking
oh, no and hearing him talk about possibly some chemotherapy type drugs will
help. He started him on steroids but I know personally what long term
steroid use will cause to happen and is worse than most major illnesses. I want
to
look up any research on this but have no idea what it is actually called. If
you have had experience with this please share.
