[ SHOWGSD-L ] Help! VERY Enthusiastic Stud!

I need help! My boy goes absolutely nuts when my bitch goes into heat!
"Steeler" literally begins screaming to get at the girl days before she even
starts swelling or showing any other signs she is in heat. (I didn't know a
dog could scream until this. <grin>)
As "Roxy's" estrous cycle unfolds, Steeler becomes frantic and will not eat,
play, and he barely sleeps. He loses a lot of weight, which is not exactly
the best thing for a dog who is still maturing.
We have tried keeping Steeler separated from Roxy by putting him in the
garage, which is not attached to the house. He screamed all the more. I
even went so far as to buy some "Anti-Mating" spray to use on the bitch. It
was a waste of money. I've tried manipulating him to ejaculation once a
day, but that provides relief for only a couple hours.
Anyhow, we are at wits end, and are thinking of boarding Steeler for the
next 3 weeks. We HATE the thought of doing this, but we can barely stand to
see him lose weight and be sooo miserable. He has gotten worse since the
successful siring of his first litter.
I would greatly appreciate hearing from anyone who has come up with
something that could possibly help an *extremely* lovesick stud.
