[ SHOWGSD-L ] Help

Last night, I discovered four, quarter-sized raw spots on my boy¹s belly.
At first, I thought he had scraped his belly somehow, but now I¹m wondering
if this could be a hot spot. He had one before, on his croup, but none of
my dogs has ever had a hot spot before.
Is this a classic location for a hot spot?
If it¹s a hot spot, what¹s the preferred method of treatment? Do I have to
shave his belly?
