I have had about every vacuum made, Hoover, Kirby,Sears etc. Four years ago  
I bought a Oreck and would not trade it for any other. Life time guarantee, 
once  a year maintance (no charge) and they lend me a vacuum while it gets it's 
 
check-up. Really picks up dog hair, and so light weight.   Peg
