You can think it won't affect you, or those who rehome, or your co-
owners, but it will. Check the comments already there, tell APHIS
that the changes are bad as they are n ow written.
Example.. it states that if you have more than 4 'breeding females"
and sell ONE unseen in your residence by the purchaser, you must be
USDA licensed. That includes co-owners, selling a rehomed dog,
selling your "pup back' at your co-owner's residence.. all very
undefined and unclear. Find a dog you like at the National? Arrange
to take the dog back home with you? That is selling and buying a dog
with out visiting the residence before purchase.
Please comment... I do almost daily now. It's easy, write it in a text
message so you won't time out on the site. Signing the AKC petition is
fine, but all 40,000 signatures will only count as ONE comment to APHIS.
Looking forward to seeing names of GSDCA members there. Hardly any
yet :-(. Board Members? Committee Chairs? I would love to see your
names there. Only 3 more weeks left to comment...
