Happy Thanksgiving!
Favorite tradition-my grandmother aways made homemade noodles, cooked in the
turkey broth. Great to put over the mashed potatoes. Then my mother continued
the tradition. My turn for the last 20 years.
However, it has become more of a challenge. They have to sit and dry on a
table for about 3 days. It's fun picking out the dog hairs.

Tradition's, my mother always made a cranberry jello mold... the tradition in
our family. I started putting it together last night, and then realized that I
had no crushed pineapple. After a quick run to the store at 7 am for a can of
pineapple, I am making it this morning.
A little humor the first Thanksgiving I prepared as a relatively new bride I
made the same jello mold to take to the Eshom family dinner. My brother in law
asked where the salad was, when I pointed out the beautiful mold I had so
carefully prepared, he said "That's not salad, that's dessert !" Salad to him
was the tradiotnal shrimp salad that was the Eshom tradition.
You know I think of that comment each time I make the jello salad. And I think
of that Brother in law, who was a marine and killed at 19 years of age, years
ago.
I now have two salad traditions, cranberry mold and shrimp salad !
