Hi Kathy,
Because when I gave JUST Interceptor, the dogs STILL had worms. It was quite
frustrating to be giving poison to the dogs and the poison wasn't working.
Ellen Heintz had been using DE for years with her dogs--I should have been
doing the same. I hate still giving Interceptor, but I feel I HAVE to give it
as a heartworm preventative.

I wanted to give (another) plug for diatomaceous earth being used as a
natural wormer. We've been using it with the dogs for almost 2 years with much
success. Even though Jeddie, Brando and Boo are being shown and leave Landsend
for weeks at a time, when they return they are put back on it. (It is mixed
with their food--we feed twice a day and add vitamins and H20.) I take stool
samples sporadically to the vet's and ALL have been worm-free since we started
using DE. It's amazing! AND IT'S CHEAP!! And it contains trace minerals that
my dogs probably wouldn't get any other way. I don't know about you, but I was
getting tired of poisoning my dogs with the wormers that are out there. (I do
still give Interceptor, however, but that's the only one.) DE is not poison.
Penny, quick question; for the adult dogs and once a puppy hits 4 months I
also use Interceptor, so I am familiar with it and know that it also works w/
hookworm and roundworm. No worms here either, so how do you know it isn't the
Interceptor and maybe you don't need other stuff?

(I do use Nemex II for babies and lactating bitches.)
