Having lost her sister just before Christmas, Ludy is now the one 
stretching herself out full-length on the couch and hogging more than her share 
of 
the bed - not to mention the attention!. She is true to the Standard in many 
ways, but no more than in her attitude toward people: she is a one person dog 
and is the very definition of "aloof with strangers". She has not once been 
aggressive with them, nor has she ever sought their friendship - in fact, 
she couldn't care less about anyone but me. Ludy is gray from her nose to her 
ears, has lost several teeth to decay, and has a bit of a hitch in her 
giddy-up due to a touch of arthritis, but is otherwise healthy. I am thankful 
for each day with her and also for her giving me her daughter, Racie (by GQ), 
who has taught herself (I wouldn't know how) to herd the cows, ducks and 
chickens here on the farm. Happy Birthday, Ludy!!!
