My husband's wGSD, JoKay's Bleach Boy, CD, CGC, GSDCA 13 club aka Surfer
took a HIT at a big conformation/obed., trial at the Minneapolis/St. Paul,
MN GSDCA in 1994. This was Surfer's last leg in Novice B for his CD. They
wouldn't give us the winning trophies. So we wrote the club & asked for them
to please send us the trophies we had won. Not knowing at that time that the
one plague for HIT was engraved (August 26, 1994 -- Highest Scoring Dog --
Also in Breed). They didn't want to give us that trophy with breed on it. I
understood. I don't know why they didn't just change the Breed part on it.
It was a good day back then and everyone was nice to us with
congratulations. And asked a lot of questions about our white GSD. I still
have the trophies displayed in my trophy room. Good memories.

I don't even remember when it was except it was when there was a GSDCA
newsletter that was small and I don't think it was called the review.
My white dog, "Stormy" for call name, took HIT that day in North Carolina.
He got a trophy and his picture in the newsletter. I'm sure I can find it
somewhere if you want to see it. This would have been about 20 years ago.
BTW, everyone was very friendly, asked questions, kids loved the "big white
dog" and all congratulated me on the win.
