When I was doing some construction stuff for an Indian Colony here, I used
to go to a warehouse and pick up a truck load of dog food that was past its
sales date and take it to the colony. Some of the brands that were more
prominent in the shipment simply did not sell and had to be disposed of in
some manner. It was sort of fun in that the dogs would see my van coming and
would follow me to the storage where I put the food. OK, yes, I'd give them
some before storing the rest.
I'm betting this is food that did not sell and had to be disposed of anyway,
so it is donated.... Am I cynical or what?
