By the way, to add some perspective to these stats, in the past two years,
since the inception of the GCH program, there were 59 GSD's awarded Select at 2
of our Nationals, one judge's opinion each year, of course. All 59 of these
dogs, by this ONE win, this ONE judge's opinion, are now and forever, eligible
for the Parade of Greats.
There are only 1 Gold Level GCH and 6 Silver Level GCH earned over that same
period, under many, many judges, over many, many GSD's, including GSDCA
Selects. These dogs have consistently defeated GSD's around the country,
under a myriad of judges, including specialty breeder/judges, at BOTH Specialty
shows and all-breed shows. Not a throwaway in the bunch. They are not
eligible, by virtue of these multiple wins, for the Parade of Greats.
Which of these 2 groups has received more validation of their quality? Which
of these 2 groups has achieved a rarer title?
Which of these groups, if you will, are GREATER. in the context of the GSDCA
Parade of Greats???
Please be aware, GCH is ONLY earned by defeating dogs of one's own breed. It
is NOT an (shudder) all-breed thing!!
Thank you for being interested and trying to keep an open mind about something
some of you appear to hold in disdain. This is one hell of an achievement for
all 7 of us!!

Harley earned his Grand Championship in 11 shows straight, from 5/22/10 through
6/12/10. Less than a month. With 5 BOB's, 2 BOS', and 4 Selects.
Stormy (American Thunder) beat him to the 1st GSD GCH because she was shown the
weekend before!! ;-(
She was the 1st GSD GCH; Harley was the 1st male GSD GCH.
There are, as of 2/17/12, 113 GCH GSD.
As of 2/17/12, Stormy is the only Gold Level GCH GSD.
As of 2/17/12, there are only 6 Silver Level GCH GSD.
GCH = 25 points
Bronze Level = 100 points
Silver Level = 200 points
Gold Level = 400 points
Platinum Level = 800 points
