1982 in Indiana. It was only a couple of miles from the Clinton Women's
Club. The footing in the ring was tan bark and saw dust. It rose as a dust
cloud so when we came out of the cloud we had to scoop sawdust out of our
mouths. It rained, it snowed and then we had hail.
Or, Kentucky where it got so cold in the arena, I had to go buy 100 hand
warmers and give them out. Most people huddled in the bathrooms that were
heated.
Or New York where the electrical union threatened Dan Dyer and Len Steen to
shut us down if we didn't pay to have the union members plug in the hair
dryers. Against the advice of Len and Dan, I went and told a very big man
that I have a number of German shepherds I would like to introduce to his
members. That was the last we heard from them.
