There's a pict of Uzi in my favorite book The German Shepherd Today. Talk
about eat your heart out, drop dead gorgeous!!! I'd give a great deal for that
dog!!!

My first National was In 1994.? The Grand Victor that year was Campaigner's
Gatewood Uzi.... I couldn't begin to recall all of his titles. But I can sure
recall Uzi.? He looked like he was floating.? That show was the first time I
had seen Ed Barrett judgeand MAN did he work those dogs.... The longer
they?showed the more apparent it was that Uzi was the dog who would win a hard
fought battle between some really great dogs.?
Uzi was also the first Grand Victor I ever met...... I would have been happy
living in a tent if I owned that dog.... He was big, not over standard in
height?and he was substancial.... beautiful dark natural pigment.... beautiful
masculine head with beautiful proportions one ear slightly overset but I could
have cared less.... long elegant neck sloping into a nice high wither point...
strong straight back and GORGEOUS croup... Uzi was deep with well-sprung
ribbing but he had excellent length of leg also and his legs were straight....
BEAUTIFUL prosternum.? I don't remember if he was clean going away or not... He
was so great I didn't care... LOL
Uzi was handled by Terri Hower.? Do you guys realize that since I have been
showing dogs Terry Hower has handled?the GV more often than any other handler.
And if you ever meet anyone more fun to hang out with than Terry I don't want
to know about it... and do NOT introduce them to me.
That year GV Ch Leiter's Cross My heart was GV..... She was a suspended
gorgeous bitch... a show?dog every step of the way......and handled by a guy
named Ken Tank... I didn't know Ken at all then but I did recognise a really
good handler when I saw one.? I did not recognise how talented he really is
until years later.
I was awestruck at that National and YES I'd still like to own Uzi today... if
you have a clone and you are looking for a really good home for him... I
volunteer.? But I'd have to claw my way over Joan and Linda and Peggy Kurtz and
Terry Hower... and about 100,000 other people who would be in that line.
