I agree 100% Jessica!!! I have a 9 year old bitch who LOVES to go out and show
- since they moved the 2011 National from Lexington, and thus my goal of
getting her to another National Veteran's class, my new goal is to get this
title on her!

Although I do find some faults with the Grand Champion thing, it really isn't
ll that bad. Sure, some dogs that shouldn't get Grand Championships will get
hem - but those are the same dogs who probably shouldn't be champions in the
irst place...
Something to consider in many breeds where entries are small. If you are a
rovisional judge, trying to get breeds under your belt, the option of Grand
hampion points often means there will be more dogs of a breed to get your hands
n - and specials at that - good bad or indifferent.
Just one more thing to think about. And don't forget, many folks are keeping
ewer dogs and therefore looking for different outlets for their dogs to do
hings with them. If your dog is a champion and likes to show - what the heck...
