I pride myself in being a good speller and pretty proficient in the English language. That said, I have re-read some of my own posts, only to cringe at the typo's and grammatical errors I have made. The internet allows us to be lazy and it seems that abbreviations and shortcuts are the norm. We all even talk in shortcut language sometimes when we know the other party understands what we are saying. That's ok with me. We all get the drift. But, a formal response should be accurate, proofed and, well, professional. Spell check does not catch everything so it's up to the Author to know the proper language, no? However, not everyone does, thanks to our public school systems. So, one must look at the spirit of the message as opposed to the letter of the message. Ok, I took poetic license to change that. But the thought is the same. JMHO Laura Thomas www.treasureranchgsds.com ============================================================================ POST is Copyrighted 2006.
