My wife and I travel to Canada at least once a year...they do so many
things better than we do in the USA....the taxes are a bit high, but you get
what you pay for, we've talked to many people in Canada during our many
visits...ALL stated that they love their medical plans...Wayne you are a smart
man and I agree with you 100%...folks here believe the Government is their
problem and that's what big business wants them to think....the insurence
companies among other lobbist own our politicions, both democrates and
republicans, who are in truth BOTH on the same side, they play out this game

Up here, along with my Government run health care system, I have Blue
Cross.
I pay $18.00 per month. Also I pay $9.05 for each perscription, up
until
usually around Oct. when I am paid up for they year and them all my
perscriptions are free.
No deductable on anything, I repeat, no deductable.
I have been with the same Dr. for nearly 50 years. His son mostly
looks
after me now.
If I am hospitalized, no charge. If I need a Specialist, no problem.
I
simply get my GP to refer me to the one I need. Again, no charge.
I would also bet that the waiting lists up here are not one bit
longer than
they are down there.
I am sure that our Doctors are just as smart and just as qualified as
yours.
Most of us up here just don't understand you objections to a publicly
run
health care system. Ours is great.
These insurance companies and drug companies are taking you people to
the
cleaners and you just don't seem to see that.
Just look around and see who is getting rich.
Sure glad I live in Canada.

70/30 up
to 10,000 max out of pocket. I currently pay 491.00 a month.
Since I have a rare condition, I can go to a research/teaching
hospital
medical center and receive the best & latest treatments in the
World. One
of
my specialists is from Canada. He says there's money for research
here
and that's why he's here instead of there. Thank goodness for
private
health
care and capitalism that brings the brightest minds to our country.
He
only sees patients 1 morning a week so guess which ones he accepts?
Oh...and my former Dr. that totally missed the cancer and then
misdiagnosed
me? Yes, he accepts Medicare so that's the quality of Drs that will
be
left.
