We have Canada geese all over the place - they love the Willamette Valley. They
come, they go, they poop. But they do not seem to cause any more problems than
any other critter.

We get ducks and geese in our back yard
My dogs have gotten giardia from them because poop is tasty to some dogs:-(
Possibilities also are Chlamydia, Erysipelas and Salmonella which are
manifested in a variety of ways and
"Contaminated" Geese are not frequently causing disease in dogs or humans
but there is always a chance.

Odd title....
I have a very good friend with 35 acres of land and 7 ponds on Otisco
Lake..the eastern most of the Finger Lakes in NYS. An absolutely beautiful
piece of property.
Now the goose thing...Bill has flocks of geese that come up from the south
in the Spring and some stay and raise their goslings by the ponds and the
lake. My problem is...I take my boy, Racer, down and let him loose to run
about free. Guess what he finds and...periodically eats...ick..and..I would
imagine there are diseases in that type of poop. Maybe I will have to keep
him on his flexi but I hate to do it.
What terrible diseases might he pick up???
Any good suggestions??
