I think also with good representation is the idea that it is representation
with pure altruism at heart.
As such, I wonder how many would agree that being nominated to judge,
running by petition to judge right up to judging at the National while a
sitting board member is something that should be changed.
What I've thought would be that an effective Board member should not be
allowed to be nominated, run by petition or judge the national while they
sit on the board. Simply put - judging the National is a prestigious
judging assignment. Lots of times getting it is due to name recognition
provided to the membership, easily acquired for those who sit on the Board.
Others I've proposed this idea to have verbally said it's a good idea, but I
wonder how many would be willing to sign a petition to have this changed.
