Thanks to all of you who contacted Killeen city officials regarding possible
"pit bull" and Rottweiler Breed Specific Legislation. This issue has been
sent back to the city advisory board on animal control for the time being.

Thank you for your email. Your information regarding the intention of the
city council is incorrect. This subject was brought before the city council
during workshop on Tuesday. There was not a consensus of the council
members to enact breed specific legislation however vicious or dangerous
animals (and the processes to identify and handle them) will be addressed.
This was referred to our city advisory board on animal control for review
and recommendations. No action will be taken until a recommendation comes
back to the council at a future date.
