Gonzales considers ban on pit bull, Rottweilers
GONZALES, La. -- A woman whose 30-year-old son was bitten on the leg by a
pit bull wants that breed and Rottweilers banned from Gonzales.
"Research shows that these are killer canines," Lynn Burgett said. "I love
dogs. I have one: an Australian shepherd."
Pit bulls and Rottweilers are different, said Burgett, whose son had to be
treated at a hospital and whose proposal is up for discussion at Monday
night's City Council meeting.
