[ SHOWGSD-L ] Gone to the Cows...AGAIN

This week is a very busy one as the Sonoma County Fair Junior Week started
here in Santa Rosa, California. My 16 year old son, Charles, has three
animals to exhibit. Today was the Breeding Beef Show for his heifer and cow.
He
started with his (just 5 month old) Simmental Heifer in the AOB (All other
Breeds) division. She won her class and then showed in the championship
drive.
She showed against heifers and cows that were up to 2 years of age. She also
won the Championship Drive which would be like our Best of Breed in the dog
world. WOW, were we excited!!!!
Following that he showed the mother of his heifer and heifer in the Cow/Calf
class and won 2nd place.
Tomorrow he shows his steer which weighed in at 1335 lbs. He is a black
crossbred. There is 90 plus steers in this years competition. This is the
final destination for the steer and he will be auctioned on Friday.
I'm sure One Happy Mom.......:)
