Here are some results from Golden State GSDC of San Jose,Sunday January 29th, held at Ash Street Park in Newark, CA, Judge was Mr. Michael Chaloux from Ville Lorraine, PQ, Canada. We had a beautiful day today instead of the cold and wind we had yesterday, Saturday, when Peggy Kurz from Alpharetta, GA judged. On Sunday, some of the results are: BOB: Ch. Talimar's Top Shelf Tebe Nobe, owned by Jamie Ross, Barbara Ross, Jene & Isabelle Dupzyk, handled by Jerry Guzman. (personal note: it is hard to find anything to criticize on this dog; he seems to have it all) I understand he had finished quickly under top judges, by the way) (Elmo son out of Kiwi). Best Opposite Sex to Best of Breed: Ch. Jezra's I knew It Scherzar, owned by Tracy Radigan and Cindy Tellefsen, handled by Cindy Tellefsen. (personal note, very happy bitch in great condition including a great sable coat, and shown to perfection by Cindy Tellefsen). Best of Winners: The American Bred Bitch, Rivendell's Start the Commotion, owned by David and Janet Coleman and Paul and Jennifer Root, handled by Art Sinclair. (She was also Winners Bitch on Saturday) Winners Dog: Stereotype of Veneyard, owned by Janice Staley and Shalaine Vineyard, handled by Bill Basu, expertly. This was a Canadian dog, and the handler had lived in Canada before coming to the US, and the judge is Canadian, so we had to go out to the nearest record store to buy Oh Canada to play at the awards ceremony. RWB: both days was Shanty's Tanqueray, owned by Sharon Buckeley & Jean Lallensack, handled by Jerry Guzman. (personal note, a very nice moving sable) RWD today: Victory's Leviathan, owned by Terri Stout and Barbara Stout, handled by Ken Tank. Best Puppy today: Schatzmar's Showoff, the 6-9 puppy bitch, owned by Bob and Darlene Ghigleri, handled by Ken Tank. Whenever Bob and Darlene show up with one of their puppies, watch out. Best Opposite to Best Puppy today: Covy-Tucker Hill's Magical Max, owned by Janice Fraga and Margaret Dalton (two newcomers to the sport) and two people named Gloria and Cappy, who apparently have been doing this for awhile), handled by Gloria. Jan and Peggy had a good time this weekend so hopefully we have two more people in our sport.
