Here's something I've been thinking about that's probably a "pie in the sky" notion... My first co-bred litter will be born in a couple weeks, and my breeding partner and I have been considering what to do IF we have more show prospects than we can keep. (We have a waiting list for pet pups.) We've thought about letting a *Sincere* newbie have an older show prospect on the condition that the puppy be shown and finished. (If the prospect is truly a decent dog, that is.) There's bound to be folks out there who can afford to show a dog, but can't afford the initial outlay of $1,500+ bucks. Being a startup breeder, my priority is to get the darn pups out there being shown rather than being compensated at this point. Has anyone ever done this? If so, how did it work out? Thanks in advance for any responses. Private responses are welcomed.
