Hi Suzanne,
Understanding what you say 100 % . I should only ask if anyone thinks much
about this when it happens. You can put "CONSPIRACY THEORY" on anything. You
can let it control everything you do, or you show what you've got & let the
chips fall where they may.
I do think some of what we read on this list comes from people, honestly
concerned about just getting a fair shake. Honest judges sometime look crooked
& the good crooked
ones can pull it off in many ways.

Hi Gene,
The problem with that thinking is that my handler KNOWS what I like either
becasue of showing the [purely hypothetical] animal I'm currently campaigning
or through discussions while showing my [purely hypothetical] animal. Handlers
have an obligation to know what a judge likes so that they don't take their
client's money needlessly. So should the folks who have won under me before.
So, if I judge and my late, ummm EX handler, shows up with the right style of
dogs, who by the way are not owned by him but by other clients, should I not
place them?
This goes into my other "show" pet peave - if the handler goes Winner's Dog and
I happen to be showing a bitch, WHY should I have to scramble to find another
handler at the show????? Professional Handler means just that - they are
professionals showing other peoples' animals. Each ANIMAL should be given a
fair shot and NO consideration should be given to the face on the end of the
lead. I can tell you now that I will not be locked into the "spread it around"
attitude that so many people have at the Specialties.
Just my opinion.
