Evan, the Executive Committee acts on the behalf of the board in the intervals
between board meetings only when necessary. All action taken by the Executive
committee remains effective until the next regular or special meeting of the
board at which time it is submitted for ratification. The current Executive
committee has met very little compared to the past.
In regards to your comment regarding staying within one's budget, this is not
or ever has been a budgeted position. All expenditures should be the
responsibility of the CVB'S that care to have us as cutomers and bring revenue
to their towns.

No. What I am saying is that the Executive Committee is only to act in an
emergency. With phone and e-mail, there never needs to be an Executive
Committee.
Joan has to spend within her budget like every other committee. I understand
she does so.
I don't think every action requires board approval, unless it is not within
the duties of the person or committee. We have to give support to those we
elected, and trust their judgment. We need not question every person, every
act, or every opinion. Unless we want to.
