Back in 02 when the Miami GSDC hosted a maturity, we had to have someone beg
for
support from people and clubs to pay for the wood, all of it cost about 1500.
I
was able to get support for specific placings as well as general donations from
individuals and clubs. It was work, a lot of requesting from clubs that have
or
might host another futurity, and donations from generous people who know how
much winning wood means.
I also showed what I thought was a very good bitch. She got dumped. I have
never gotten wood, but those who did seemed very happy.
Why don't we go back to this method of paying for the futurity trophies?
