The Futurity policies and procedures state ALL CLUBS residing in the Region
hosting the Futurity should participate in selection of Futurity judge. I
would suggest ALL REGIONAL CLUBS contact the host club and present name(s)
for judges. Ideally, there should be cooperation among the regional clubs
after all it would benefit the hosting club for them to select a judge other
clubs would support. Means better entry, more $'s for host club.

Well Carol, not everyone can afford to just enter whether they like a judge
or not. It is really cool that you can afford that, esp these days.
It is your club you support it, that is great.
But for many, one can no longer just give entries to be supportive or to be
polite or what have you.
Those days are gone.
Open the voting up to the region, give the entrants some say in who judges.
You may gain more interest.
With entries dwindling, apparently the club lacking money to even afford
trophies? , and the general importance of
a win fading, I would think ANYTHING to generate interest would be a plus.
The status quo is not working, the same ole same ole
is failing ....please give me reasons as to why it is NOT a good idea to get
the regions involved in bringing in judges? How is it not a good idea
to be "inclusive"? . Don't know about out there, but here, with many clubs
we already have enough exclusion and "all the usual suspects" and the
same nonsense year in, year out.
Opening the vote for Fut/Mat, may just invigorate entries. Certainly what
we have been doing ISN'T working.
Love to be able to support clubs, it would be nice to have the reason to.
I can see no drawback whatsoever to giving your regions a voice. They may
not all sing the same song,
but the tone would be interesting.
