They have spoken, but it doesn't change the by-laws. There is a proceedure, it takes a motion, discussion, and publication. There has to be a pro and con, and then a vote by the membership with proper notice and a timely vote. Other than that, it is a great idea to let the board members know what you want done. But, telling them to violate the by-laws is a waste of time. You might as well tell them to rob a bank.
