In Dalmatians we call that the "Poodle look". Usually goes with dogs that have very straight shoulders (especially upper arm) that are set way of the front of the body. If you think of how Standard Poodles move - that's the look. I think lots of people find that flashier verses correct. Looks "fancier" in the group ring and too many all-arounders can't tell the difference.
