Jackie...you can do all those things in any language....think about
it...lol.....you can train your dog with curse words and racial slurs...sad to
say I had a parolee who did this very thing.......yes you guessed it...it was a
pit bull....the key to training dogs depends on the knowledge and expertise of
the trainer....I have trained dogs using hand signals.......now what language
is that...this gives me a chance to use one of my favorite lines.....I was born
at night, but it wasn't last night...I've also been training dogs since I was
about 9......if I do the math that's 48 years...I have trained dogs in both
German and English.......there is no difference.....FB

But down = take your time, just do it. I don't care if you sit then lie down,
just lie down.
Platz = drop on recall or emergency situations. I expect the dog to drop like
a stone and.fold back. Sitting before laying down is not acceptable. The
dog must go from a stand to a down, which means the front half needs to hit the
ground before the back half
Come = Come where I can see you. You can keep playing, but let me know where
you are.
Hier = Come sit in front of me, square and straight. Don't move
Fuss = Get your head up, show me some focus
Sitz = Sit immediately, regardless of what you're doing. We have no alternate
command for this
The behaviors I ask for in German are not the same as the behaviors I ask for
in english
