I am one who also thinks that if we combine the German to American we
could better the underjaw of our dogs..In other words stronger
heads..Better feet and pick up the red color..I would only use an import
with a straight back and maybe more neck..I always combined the American
with the German that is when the German dogs were elegant they looked
like our dogs...We certainly can use stronger temperment ..Are our dogs
better today ???Maybe less angulation ,,I see less faults but not too
many exciting dogs that ask for it ..Those who stand out ???As I myself
sell mostly to pet people I want sound with moderate angulation..I
already have the red pigment I usually will only breed to a male who is
black and red..But where do you find it today..I mean their natural
