Good morning fellow listers,
My husband made a doggy program for me years ago. I asked him to make it so
we could market it to all animal show people as I didn't think the Shepherd
world would be a large enough enterprise. He claims there would not be
enough interest in the program. This program starts off by cataloging every
dog(with name, call name, birth, reg #, microchip #, status, sire, dam, date
acquired, status change date, owner, co owner, breeder and co breeder) in
the kennel. If the status of a dog changes,if they are sold or die, then it
moves all the information to another section. It has a medical, breeding,
showing(you can keep track of points, cost, the judge, remarks, etc) and
reminder sections. It fills out sales contracts with the information of the
dog being sold from the information already entered in cataloging. It keeps
track of litters with stud name, AKC #, owners name, owners address, test
dates, costs involved, breedings and corresponding whelping dates appear
automatically! Best of all, if you breed two dogs whose pedigrees are
already in the program it generates pedigrees. When the pedigree is printed
out the champions are in red. I want him to put the ROMs in another color!
hee, hee. I'm sure I've missed something as over the years I've had him add
things as I needed them. My question is would this product be of interest
to the doggy world? And what would you pay for such a high quality product?
