Evan--You are correct That's why we use a "D" in GSDCA. There are many
other breeds that have "DOG" as part of their name ,especially with these new

That is the way I always write it. The title of a dog is not capitalized
such as collie, or puli. But the country German is. I have never held
with
making it German Shepherd. I find it pretentious. But, then again, I
find
peanut butter pretentious, and the use of the word pretentious.
