As someone who just judged an all-breed show last week, I think they can be a good venue. I was not able to extend the ring, but we all worked it out. Four handlers and owners were very happy with the results. It is not the venue, but the judge doing the judging. Bad judging is bad judging, no matter if it is an all-breed or a specialty. If you think the judge is inadequate, don't enter, no matter what kind of a show it is. Not that there is anything wrong with that.
