Unless it has changed since I was on the board,
and I'll bet it hasn't, the per duem allotment for
board members should change. It covers Sat. &
Sunday only yet, you have the same expenses or
more while traveling on Friday and Monday to get
to and from home. Those days should be covered
also and the amount covers airport popcorn only!
There people should not have to pay to volunteer.

If you want to be a Club officer, you really need
to have served on its Board first. You really
should attend Board metings and see first hand
what it is like.
Serving on this Board in any capicity is time
consuminbg - EVEN WHEN MEETINGS ARE over, we talk
Board stuff all weekend dayand night, we have
phone meetings, our Board jobs can be hours each
week and an officer probabl should be retired as
they spend many,many hours working on Club stuff
It is a thankless job
It costs you time, money and mental health
