I didn't think it was defensive....but what do I know????
If information had been reported by someone, somewhere that assets
decreased $60K on my watch, when in fact I had supporting info/data that they
had
decreased $16K, I'd want the info out there right away.
I'd explain the data too, rather than "hope" everyone who had been given
partial and incorrect info would know how to read financial's (HAH!) and
would in fact take the time to do so once the final financials were released.
(DOUBLE HAH!).
If in fact "we" only lost $16 during this turbulent time...well hurrah and
clap clap!

explained it -- but I prefer to wait for official reports than listen to any

The question I have is why and how is Bill involved? I thought he left
the job as treasurer over three years ago. I trust our current board to
figure out the finances, and I will wait to hear from them.
I understand that what we are now hearing is the result of what happened
on
Bill's watch, but it is today that the audit is finally getting done. For
a couple of years we heard nothing but excuses as to why an audit wasn't
being provided. If I understand correctly, the club obtained a new
auditing firm, and that is who will give us the true picture.
We should wait to hear from our board, not speculate on opinions by anyone
else. When Tish knows the true picture, I trust we will hear from her.
