I attend many all breed shows and stay throughout the shows, watching many
differentbreeds and conversing with many, many people. I do not hear anyone
blastingthe GSDs on temperament. Most admire them and are quite complementary
oftheir calm, sensible demeanor outside the ring. Remember, one bad one can
give the whole batch a bad rap, just like a bushel of apples.

Am in Monroe, Michigan at the all breed show...and brought a 5 month old puppy
dog out of Campaigner's I Got You Babe (Cher, co-owned by me with Joan Fox and
Linda Bankhead), by Zoriana Peters Ch Peters Elite Name Your Pois'n. Everywhere
we've been today the exhibitors and spectators keep commenting on how beautiful
he is and more importantly, how wonderful his temperament is and how rare that
is (!!!). Well, his temperament is wonderful...as is his parents.' But how sad
that this is the public's and dog world's image of the breed...bad temperament.
I say, I couldn't care less if a dog being shown is unable to reproduce, if it
has no disqualifying faults and its temperament makes it an ambassador for the
breed.
AND fellow GSDCNO listers, club member Pat Brannigan Won Breed and a 3 point
major with her Peke today!! Brag hat next week....
