To refresh everyone's mind, the standard says:
The overreach of the hindquarter usually necessitates one hind
foot passing outside and the other hind foot
passing inside the track of the forefeet, and such action is not
faulty unless the locomotion is crabwise with the
dog's body sideways out of the normal straight line.
This person has written to me to say that the standard means: (and this is
a quote from a post she sent me):
One rear foot falls outside the track of the front foot on the
same side, the other falls inside the track
of the front foot on the same side. The rear is "swung"
slightly to one side so that the rear is on a track
to one side of the front.
That's what I mean when I say they see what they want to see. Some will
never get it..........we can only pray that this woman
never advances beyond the couple of breeds she has now, especially to
Shepherds or other herding dogs!!!
