Having had a GSD with an overshot mouth, I can tell you it is more
of a problem than any missing teeth. When he was about 12 months old,
we had to have the bottom canines ground down, as they were pressing into
the hard palate. He never had a problem getting food down but he sure
made a mess drinking water.
I'm interested in opinions about missing teeth. I have had two GSD with
missing 2nd premolars. Both had well developed jaws and good occlusion.....
and, no "dropped" incisors. I am seeing more GSD with full dentition, but
finer underjaws and dropped incisors. Is this becoming a problem?
