Many states are changing the way public school kids are going to be taught by
teachers with the new gimmick called " Common Core". Thank God I retire in two
weeks. Many teachers including me think that this is BS.... Politics and folks
making money on new curriculum and text books is to me what this is all about.
The beauty about the GSD standard change is that the MEMBERS get to make the
decision. This common core crap was forced on teachers, we had no choice! I am
not shy about my views on most things and at first I was in favor or the change
in our standard but now I am not! I am not against change I just think at this
point I like the GSD just the way she is! Ed Hill
