Two wrongs don't make a right. I agree with Fred, as I almost always do. I know I have been asked to apply for many breeds that I judged in ARBA when they were accepted to AKC. But, I don't want to judge another breed, and it is better to let people wonder if I know anything, than to show them just what I don't know. When you judge ARBA, and do 250 breeds, you do learn that reading a standard does not make you a judge of quality in those breeds. They let you take the standard into the ring while judging, but some times it just does not tell you enough. I have to admit that after I did a few ARBA shows, I found shepherds a lot easier to judge.
